In Memory of Rev. Dr. Robert R. Long

Bob Long, a long-time and beloved member of Bellefield, passed away peacefully on October 13th with his wife, Marilyn, and daughter Elisa at his side.

We join with Marilyn and the family in grieving Bob’s death, while also resting in the promise of Scripture, which says: “that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)

Memorial Events

A memorial service for Bob will be held at Bellefield Presbyterian Church on November 4th. Our church is located in the Oakland neighborhood at 4001 5th Avenue. The schedule of events is as follows:

9:15am Visitation-  A brief time of visitation will be held prior to the memorial service in our Fellowship Hall.

10:30am Memorial Service –  The service for Bob will be held in our church sanctuary. We will also live stream the service, link here.

There will be a light reception held next door at the University Club following the service. This reception is a gift from friends of Bob and Marilyn Long.
